16th December: Victory Day Of Bangladesh

The 16th December is a memorable day in the history of Bangladesh. On this day, we won victory at the cost of a bloody battle of nine months and Bangladesh came into being and occupied an existence in the world map as an independent country. We observe this day with great solemnity.
It begins with gunshots. The whole country put on a festive look. The national flag remains hoisted on the top of each house and office. Many meeting, seminars, symposiums and discussions held in this day. People of all walks of life goes to the national mausoleum and offers flowers there as a symbol of profound respect and heartfelt love to the martyred valiant soldiers. The Victory Day is the pride and glory of the Bengali. It was a victory against injustice, tyranny, oppression and falsehood. The importance of this memorable day does not end in celebration only.
