The population of a country is a blessing to her. But it becomes curse when it grows very quickly and the people would not be productive. Bangladesh is a small country.
Her population is too much to her area. At present the population of our country is increasing rapidly. But her land area is limited. So population of our country is the burning question of the day. The causes of high rate of population growth in Bangladesh are many. Some are given below: Superstitions, Early marriage, Lack of female education, Polygamy, Unawareness of birth control, Tendency to show physical strength etc.If our population grows at a high rate, our country will have to face many problems. This will affect the economic development and progress of the country. The country will not be able to give proper food, clothes, residence, educational facilities, medical facilities and other basic necessities of life to this increasing people. To check the rapid growth of population some measurements should be taken as early as possible. They are: The high birth rate of population has to be checked through the family planning. It is the main effective solution of the problem. Also we have to make campaign to educate mass people. It will help them to understand the value of the family planning and the problem of over population. Various encouraging programs should be taken to make people eager to stop high growth rate of population. Population problem is, indeed, a great prbelowoblem of our country. So, we all should take proper steps to check the growth of population.
